Starlab Syringe Filters for HPLC Sample Preparation

Starlab Syringe Filters are used for the filtration of liquid samples that contain insoluble impurities. Starlab Syringe Filters are made from imported membrane filter with very low levels of extractables. The housing material is high quality pharmaceutical grade polypropylene, chemically resistant to a wide range of solutes and solvents. Starlab Syringe Filters are constructed so that the sample must pass through the membrane, not leak around it. Starlab's quality control guarantees that Starlab Syringe Filters will provide excellent results.

Starlab Syringe Filters are easy to use. The 25mm syringe filters can filter up to 100 mL of sample with a retention volume of less than 100 uL. The 13mm filters can filter 5 to 10 mL of sample and have a retention volume of only 28 uL.

Starlab offers a wide range of syringe filters with a 1 μm pore size Glass fiber or PP membrane as a pre-filter. The Glass fiber or PP pre-filter is mounted upstream from the microporous filter membrane in order to eliminate the need of a pre-filtration step, minimize sample loss, prolong lifetime of the membrane and increase the flow rate. These filters are ideal for general filtration of samples containing an excessive amount of particulates.
